Working from home

This week brought an unwelcome visitor: streptococcal (strep) bacteria. Boy B first, DH next and Boy A shortly thereafter. Mom has so far escaped the crud. But, after DH missed two days in his office (trying to work from home) I needed to stay home on Friday.

For the first time ever, I have the capabilities to work from home. Not that it will be a practice, no, warm bodies are needed in our office, but the occasional times like this will be okay'd. YEAH! I actually wasn't able to do any work on Friday, but with DH home today, was able to finish all I had hoped. Let's hear it for a team-based work environment and a flexible work schedule and flexible and understanding co-workers and boss! Go Team!

On the knitting front. I finished a dishcloth from the Mason-Dixon Knitting book. Check out their funny website/blog at: http://www.masondixonknitting.com/

I will get a picture of that up soon. I am still slowly working on the first of my new pair of felted clogs. I was very tempted (but resisted) to buy some wool at Wal-Mart yesterday. My mom had given me some Lion Brand wool, but one skein too few to make the clogs (for my size). But as I said, I resisted. I am using wool that has been in my stash longer than the new stuff mom gave me.

DH has lost his one and only hat I have ever knitted him. EXCUSE to knit a hat! Whoohoo. He is outside with Boy A playing on the huge mounds of snow in the parking lot across from our house as I write this (Boy B is sleeping and surely going to freak when he wakes to find dad and brother already outside!). The point I am getting to is DH is out there without a topper and only a ear-covering headband. Burrrr. Better go get some of that wool out of the stash and get knitting.
