Felted slippers

I didn't mention that I made these this past winter too. Got them finished, felted and able to wear them on Christmas eve. Posted by Picasa

Thomas the Tank Engine coming down the line.

Okay, moving on!

We visited Thomas the Tank Engine (well, HE came to Greenfield Village from the Island of Sodor) yesterday. The boys just went nuts over seeing Thomas in person. You could taste the excitment in the air.

I realize it has been almost a year since my last post. I doubt I had readers anyway. The blog I've begun here is really supposed to be for me. I wanted to track my knitting progress. Having not been very good at that, I'd like to give it a better try.

My loving little family is going to be moving soon! My D.H. starts a new job in July and eventually, we'll move closer to his work. Our house has been on the market for several months and while we've had several showings, the market just seems to be crummy. We're just staying positive and know it will sell when it is supposed to.

I've been knitting like crazy this past winter. I did slippers for the boys for Christmas, I've finished the first pair of socks for my hubby and did at least one scarf, several blocks for my ongoing block afghan, I have made at least one more felted purse and have a small "bar bag" purse that is completed but needs to be felted. I am working on son #1's marble bag and son #2's marble bag is completed, just needs to be felted! WHEW!. I'm sure there is more I've forgot about, but I've sure enjoyed doing what I have completed so far. The process is just so pleasant and relaxing.

I truly hope to figure out (or get some help!) on how to work this blogging thing! To post some pictures and be good at it enough to do something several times a week!
