Well...I'll be darned, it worked

FINALLY! A photo is uploaded. Albeit an old photo, but a photo none-the-less! This is our cute boys on their birthday (January 21) overwhelmed with wonder!

I promise more knitting content and knitting pictures to come. It is 9 p.m. now and I am done knitting the second sole of the first felted clog knitted, but not joined with the finished clog. The second clog is ready for its sole too. These felted clogs for me made from Patons Classic Merino I had in the stash.

Blogger is being stupid

I have decided, and I will admit, in writing, I am a slacker. Although, I have some great reasons (alright--excuses) for why I have not put any pictures up and have not posted regularly. Two of those reasons are Boy A and Boy B. Boy B has especially been fighting some sort of crud (or better expressed as a train of crud--one car after another, after another, and so on).

Another reason (alright, excuse. Stop badgering me!) is a full time job outside the home. A 40-hour job that feels like 60 hours. Unfortunately, I cannot even say I have been knitting instead of posting! (Loser.) Although, I did finish DH's ribbed hat and after he wore his old hat when snow blowing this week, I figured he doesn't like the new hat. He assured me he likes it so much, he does not want to, "get it all gas-smelly."

I have not taken a picture of the ribbed hat and DH has stolen, I mean, borrowed my camera, printer, and photo paper for a big work event that will consume his life today and tomorrow (and all night). Let's just say it involves about a zillion middle schoolers, music, dancing, Mass, and general pubescent fun.

Back to my reasons for slacking. (okay! excuses) I had surgery again. Without the details, this was a bit more involved, but still outpatient and completed with only sedation. Nevertheless, I am home today still resting. I am hoping to get a felted clog finished.

I have tried, for two days, to upload a picture. Any picture, and stupid Blogger will not upload for who knows why. I should know since this is free. What do I want? Perfection? I think not. So, I apologize for more text and no pictures.

P.S. have you seen that the MagKnits and Knitty both have new patterns available?

Just because it has been so long

I figured I better get to posting about something. We have just been the typical busy family. We took the boys to see Charlotte's Web on the big screen this past weekend. They got a bit antsy toward the last 20 minutes, but could have been a lot worse. The movie is cute. One I hope we purchase for the library.

Last week, February 19th, I had off for President's Day. With not working that day, I still put in 48 hours. Clearly, that contributed to the no posting on the blog thing.

I have started knitting a new hat for DH. It's from some wool I had in the stash. Lion Brand merino and is a nice blue and some variegated of the same. It is 2x2 rib knitted in the round and I am counting on the stretchiness of ribbing that it will fit. I am about 5 or so inches into what will be a few more before beginning the decreases.

The felted clogs for me are still waiting and my feet have been freezing now for two weeks. Not sure why I haven't just finished them, but tonight, while wearing a pair of DH's socks with my holey-falling-apart clogs I will find some quiet time to go a few more rounds. I must.

Happy March. It coming in like a lion means it will go out like a lamb. I love winter, but after a lot of rain, sleet, freezing rain, etc. today, and freezing feet, I'm thinking Spring.
